  Hi, my name is Lyle Pennington.

I had a great 35 year career with General Motors in their marketing organization. Through the Buick Division that I represented, I had the opportunity to observe the Best of Golf.  As an example, I had the opportunity to present Tiger Woods to a press conference after his first Buick Invitational win and watch him go on to represent Buick and to become the Best of golf in this generation.  Over time, I had the opportunity to play in over 50 Pro Am events with some of the greatest names in golf. It was truly the Best of Golf at that time.

Since my retirement from General Motors, I continue to participate in a number of national and local events and have chaired over 10 Charity golf tournaments, so suffice to say, I have learned a lot about the Best of Golf.

As chairperson in a number of local tournaments, I've had the occasion to go on line looking for ideas or support materials for those tournaments.  It struck me at the time, how much easier it would be to go to one site that presented the "Best of Golf", organized in a way that could link me to whatever the issue; the best golf apparel, the best golf equipment, the best software program to run a tournament, etc., etc.
